We offer free shipping on all orders over $29. For orders under $29, a small flat shipping rate applies.

Processing Time
Orders are processed within 24 hours on weekdays. During high order volumes, there may be minor delays. We appreciate your patience and will notify you immediately if there’s a significant delay.

Delivery & Tracking
Your order may arrive in multiple packages. After shipping, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking information. Tracking updates may take a little time to appear. If you don’t see updates or the system shows “tracking does not exist,” please don’t worry—it may take a few days for the courier system to sync.
If tracking is still unavailable 8 business days after your order, reach out to us for assistance.

Address Recommendations
For the smoothest delivery, we suggest using a physical street address. Some carriers may not support P.O. Boxes, Parcel Collect, or Parcel Locker addresses.

Warranty and Return Guidelines

At The Joy Box, we offer a 30-day return policy from the delivery date on all eligible products (except gift cards and custom items).

If you experience any issues with your purchase within 30 days, please contact our support team for assistance with a return, replacement, or refund.

Upon Arrival

• Inspect Your Package: Check your delivery immediately to confirm you received the correct items. While we conduct thorough checks, occasional errors can occur. Verify that all components are included, as some parts may be tucked inside the packaging materials.
• Retain Packaging: Keep all original packaging, including boxes, manuals, and inserts, until you're fully satisfied with your purchase.
• Inspect Without Damage: Carefully examine products without causing damage to the packaging or item.
• Enjoy Your Purchase: Once confirmed, enjoy your new product with confidence!

Warranty and Return Guidelines

Warranty Period
We offer a 30-day return policy from the delivery date for your peace of mind. Please note the following:

• Hobby-Grade Products: These require careful handling. Damage caused by crashes, misuse, or neglect is not covered under warranty.
• Waterproof Items: Unless explicitly stated, electric items are not waterproof. Using non-waterproof items (e.g., RC cars) in water voids the warranty. Spare parts may be available for purchase, and we’re happy to assist with part selection and repairs.
• Packaging Damage: Warranty does not cover damages to packaging or retail boxes. Such damages are common during transit and do not affect product use.

 

Returns and Exchanges

• Non-Returnable Items: Custom products, gift cards, and hazardous materials are not eligible for returns.
• Exchanges: For an exchange, return the item as instructed and place a new order for the replacement product.

Warranty Assistance Guidelines

2. Show Us the Issue – Attach clear photos or a short video of the problem.
3. Claim Window – Claims must be submitted within 30 days of delivery.

5. Our Solution – If approved, we’ll arrange a repair, replacement, or return.

New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA)

Our products come with guarantees under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA), ensuring they meet acceptable quality standards and are fit for purpose. You may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund for any major failure.

Refunds

• Approval: Once we receive and inspect your return, refunds will be issued to your original payment method (processing times may vary by bank).
• Rejection: Refunds will be denied if the product is misused, water-damaged (when not waterproof), or otherwise not covered under warranty.

Important Usage Guidelines

• Read Manuals: Always follow manufacturer instructions for safe use.
• High-Speed & Aerial Products: Test before use. Damage from crashes/misuse is not covered.
• Batteries & Chargers: Never leave charging unattended. Charge in a fire-safe, ventilated area. Keep away from children.

Battery Maintenance Guide (If applicable)

• Charge the battery fully before first use, after any use, before storage or use after storage.
• Disconnect the battery from product when not in use. Leaving the battery connected to the product when not in use, can cause damage to the battery due to gradual discharging.
• Do not run RC products supplied with LiPo or Li-Ion batteries until the battery power becomes very low or fully discharged.  This will cause permanent damage to the battery.
• Allow for battery to cool down prior to charging again.  This will help long battery life.
